For Broccoli users

Brassica – the self-hosted web companion for Broccoli

Manage, edit and share your Broccoli recipes in the browser – on your own server.

Open source · Self-hosted (PHP + SQLite) · Broccoli compatible

What it is

Brassica is not a replacement for the Broccoli mobile app.

It is a self-hosted web interface for working with Broccoli recipes in a desktop browser.

  • Organize and edit recipes
  • Share recipes or collections
  • Full data ownership: hosted by you

Broccoli compatibility

  • Import: Broccoli recipe files
  • Export: Broccoli-compatible formats
  • Images: supported
  • Sharing: recipes or collections via public links
  • Self-hosting: PHP + SQLite

This is meant as a desktop/browser companion: manage on desktop, then use the recipes in the mobile app again.

Typical use cases

  • Edit recipes comfortably on desktop
  • Organize large collections faster
  • Share recipes or collections via link
  • Host everything on your own server

If you manage a lot of recipes and prefer desktop workflows, Brassica is built to complement the mobile app.

Project relationship

Brassica is an independent open-source project. The Broccoli app remains the reference for mobile usage.
